Our record producers have spent many many years working within the music industry. The job involves overseeing and managing the recording (ie: production) of our artist & clients music, as well as developing the creative idea behind the track.

Our producers play many crucial roles that include, but are not limited to, gathering ideas for the project, selecting songs and coaching the artist and musicians in our studios and controlling the recording session.

FLANK RECORDING STUDIO can provide professional remixes for any of your musical projects.

A remix is an alternative version of a song, different from the original version.

Our producer's use their audio mixing skills to compose an alternate direction of a song, adding or subtracting elements, or simply changing the equalization, dynamics, pitch, tempo, playing time, or almost any other aspect of the various musical components.

Our producers have many years experience of working with music remix projects of all styles, having successfully created hundreds of released remixes for record labels and individual artists all over the world.

Some remixes involve substantial changes to the arrangement of a song, but many are subtle, such as creating a "vocal up" version of an album cut that emphasizes the lead singer's voice. A song may be remixed to give a song that was not popular a second chance at radio and club play, to create a stereo or surround sound version of a recording where none was previously available, to improve the fidelity of an older recording in which the original mixdown tape has been lost or degraded, or to alter a song to suit a specific music genre or radio format.

Remixes should not be confused with edits, which usually involve shortening a final stereo master for marketing purposes

Do you, a friend or a relative fancy yourselves as a Saturday night Superstar? Do you know somebody who is always the first jump up on stage at your local pub with the microphone?

is the final step in making a recording sound “like a record”.

It is an essential process toward producing a recording on par with professional standards.

A properly mastered recording will greatly improve songs by smoothing out sonic irregularities, improving the overall presence, and maximizing volume consistently across a track.

Often subtle EQ is employed to clean up a muddy low end, to add extra sparkle, or to reduce piercing highs.

Mastering can also include performance editing and reduction in “digitalness”. Mastering can be the difference between your project sounding like a demo and becoming a ready-for-radio play release.

If you want to sound like the music the major labels are currently putting out, you need your music to be properly mastered.

Usually a lot can be done to improve the mix and overall desirability of a song.

The music industry is a very demanding and competitive market. If you want your music to compete for a slice of the radio station market, record store plays, and the homes of the music buying public, it has to sound professional.

Do you have a venue that you like the sound of? Would you like your live gig recorded? Whatever the location we can create you a recording that is a true representation of your sound. Here at the Professional Audio Company, using our high-quality location recording studio, we will come to a venue of your choice and record your performance. This will then be mixed (with your involvement if you wish) back at our studio and handed to you as a finished product for distribution. Alternatively, should you wish to mix and / or master the recording yourself we can supply you with the labelled files to do this on either DVD or hard drive in either .aiff or .wav format.

As musicians ourselves we understand that mistakes can happen during a live set. If you would like a more produced and polished sound we can offer you the chance to come to our studio and overdub any troublesome parts - even vocals. Using our professional level microphones to restore the sound and the latest technology to lip sync your studio performance with the live show, we are confident that the audience will not notice!

Lots of our work sync to video for broadcast or DVD release. Working with a variety of video companies we will liaise with your chosen crew to ensure the best results. We can also put you in touch with videographers to make your video stand out from the crowd.
